YOU'RE GONE Open: Benton Quest stands over his wife, Rachel Wildey-Quest's, grave. Intro shot: A young Benton Quest is leaning against the bar in the student center at a college. He is obviously flirting with a young Rachel Wildey. He says something, which is drowned out as the music starts to play. Piano Intro begins: I said hello I think I'm broken And though I was only jokin' It took me by surprise when you agreed :Rachel writes a number down on a napkin, folds it and slides it across to Benton. Shot overlap to a later time, where Benton is on the phone, Toying with the napkin. Fade quickly to Benton and Rachel on a date In a small Italian restaurant. These shots overlap in a quick montage.: I was tryin' to be clever For the life of me I never Would have guessed how far the simple truth would lead :Benton is on one knee in the same restaurant, Rachel is crying over a small velvet box.: You knew all my lines You knew all my tricks You knew how to heal that pain No medicine can fix :Rachel is walking down the aisle, towards Benton, who is glowing with happiness.: And I bless the day I met you :replay intro shot: And I thank God that He let you Lay beside me for a moment that lives on :Quick shot of Benton leading Rachel into a honey-moon suite: And the good news is I'm better For the time we spent together And the bad news is you're gone :Benton looks out window like he is waiting for somebody, his face lights up when Rachel climbs out of a car.: Lookin' back it's still surprisin' I was sinking you were rising With a look you caught me in mid-air :Benton is sitting over a microscope, looking frustrated and frazzled. Rachel walks up behind him, gives him a kiss a prys the work-a-holic Quest away from his experiment.: Now I know God has His reasons But sometimes it's hard to see them When I awake and find that you're not there :Cut to current day where Quest lays in a wide bed, alone, Staring into the darkness.: You found hope in hopeless Your made crazy sane You became the missing link That helped me break my chains :Montage of shots, Rachel taking Benton away from his work, Dancing with him in the rain, Holding newborn Jonny.: And I bless the day I met you :Intro Shot: And I thank God that He let you Lay beside me for a moment that lives on :Benton lays alone in bed, and in his mind sees Rachel lying beside him.: And the good news is I'm better For the time we spent together. :Benton shuts off his computer and goes outside and dances in the rain.: And the bad news is you're gone And the bad news is you're gone :Return to open, it begins to rain, and Benton lays flowers on Rachel's grave, and walks away with a half-smile.
