January 2, 1999 [I think I put the wrong year on the other one!] DISCLAIMER: I don't own the Quest team and am making no money CATEGORY: HR and Action RATING: PG ARCHIVERS: Just tell me where Memories By, Neptune [or Keirsten] Part 2 As she sat there, she soon became aware of someone, or as it really was, something watching her. She turned her head slowly and looked behind her. There, sitting with a huge smile on its face, was a little black and white dog. She raised one eyebrow suspiciously. “Now where did you come from?” she asked it. Suddenly, the dog got up and ran about ten feet down the beach. Then, it turned around and barked for her. She got up and started to follow. “This is really stupid. I’m following dog! Geez, I feel like I’m in a movie.” She said to herself. The little dog stayed about ten feet from her until they came to a path leading up the side of the cliff. The dog started to go up it like it knew exactly where it was going. Then, all at once, the beach exploded with gunfire. Knowing she was in trouble, she ran up the path with the dog. One of the shots hit her in the leg, but the sheer adrenaline that was pumping through her body kept her going. She finally reached the top and saw before a huge lighthouse that had been concealed from down on the beach. The dog ran strait for it and so did she. It felt like forever before she reached the door, and even longer to open it. But once she was inside, she knew was safe. The pain from her leg reached her brain quickly after that, and she collapsed on the cold tile floor. “Dad! Race! What’s going on!?!” Jonny shouted. “Someone’s firing on us! Get down!” Race barked as he pulled Jonny down behind the couch. Then, the firing stopped. Just as Race peaked his head above the back of the couch, an arrow whizzed over it. Jessie was the first one up and she grabbed the arrow. Attached was a small tube of paper. “Well, this is classic!” she said sarcastically. “Well, read it.” Jonny said. Jessie slowly unrolled the paper and read it to her family. Dear Mr. Roger “Race” Bannon, You might not remember me, but I certainly remember you. You destroyed my life and now I will destroy yours. You made the worst mistake in your life when you got me kicked out of the CIA, and now it will cost you. “If that’s not THE most corny threat letter I have ever seen, I don’t know what is.” Jessie said. “I agree, but right now, we have to get to the lighthouse.” Race ordered. “Dad, do you know who it is?” Jessie asked. “Yea Race, do ya?” Race turned and glared at the destroyed living room, “Yes, I’m afraid I probably do.” ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ******************************************************************** * The Jonny Quest mailinglist jq@edc.ml.org * ******************************************************************** * To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to: majordomo@edc.ml.org * * with the message: unsubscribe jq subject is ignored * ********************************************************************
